In just its 6th year, the 2018 event was the largest yet, boasting these incredible statistics:

  • There were over 12,500 attendees, up from 8,000 the year before
  • 2,500 affiliates attended, including Best New Bingo Sites’ very own, Sue Dawson
  • There were 400 exhibitors and sponsors, doubling the figure from SiGMA 2017.
  • 200 expert speakers
  • Representatives from over 80 countries around the world

FTD Digital attended the conference for the second year in a row, in order to meet up with clients and partners as well as to keep its finger on the pulse of where the industry is, and where it is going. A commercial team and creative/SEO representatives travelled to the beautiful Mediterranean island, just 50 miles south of Sicily, to catch some winter rays of sun and foster brilliant relationships. Representing FTD Digital, Sharon Joy, Commercial Manager, and Sue Dawson, Head of Content and Chief Editor of Best New Bingo Sites, attended the conference on the company’s behalf.

SiGMA has positioned itself as the “World’s iGaming Village.” In other words, they have created an environment and setting where EVERYONE involved in the industry can come together to meet, to learn, and to drive the conversation forward together. Everyone from affiliates to operators, investors to B2Bs and start-ups can come together as equals in an incredible environment perfectly suited to the iGaming world’s needs. And fortunately, the world’s iGaming Village is situated in one of Europe’s southernmost winter paradises.

SiGMA has also branched out, holding multiple events throughout the year including iGatherings, Alpha Boot Camps, and Affiliate Grand Slams, which have proved very popular with delegates.

SiGMA is a welcome addition to the industry conference circuit. It has merely whet the appetite for LAC 2019, the coming London Affiliate Conference, which will set the tone for the new year.

We look forward to seeing all our friends, and making some new ones, at next year’s 2019 SiGMA event.
